Willingboro Firefighters Mourn The Loss Of A Local Firefighter

Willingboro Firefighters, along with firefighters from across the country are mourning the loss of Lieutenant Christopher J. Hunter of the Cinnaminson Fire Department. Lieutenant Hunter passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, November 15, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Cinnaminson, and is survived by his wife and two young children. Chris joined the Cinnaminson Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter in 1992. He was then hired as a career firefighter in 1998, and promoted to Lieutenant in 2009.
Chief of Department Burnett, along with several other members of the department attending the viewing and funeral for Lieutenant Hunter. The department's Fire Police Unit also assisted with traffic control at both events. The department sends it's condolences to the Hunter family and the Cinnaminson Fire Department in their time of sorrow.
The United States Fire Administration has noted Lieutenant Hunter's death as a Line of Duty Death since it occurred within 24 hours of the end of his previous work day at the firehouse.
