In the early evening hours of November 23rd the department responded to the area of 53 Glover Lane for a reported car on fire. The alarm was received by firefighters at 5:48 pm. Engine 1613 responded to the fire and was advised by police that the car was heavily involved in fire. The engine arrived in five minutes and found a car in the street with a fire in the engine compartment.
Firefighter Carcasio pulled a 1 3/4" hand-line and started to extinguish the fire. Lieutenant Friddell and Firefighter E. O'Donnell assisted with opening up the car to check for fire extension. The fire fully damaged the engine compartment and part of the passenger compartment. The crew was able to extinguish the fire in five minutes.
Once the fire was extinguished the vehicle was towed from the scene. An investigation was conducted by Willingboro Police Department and the Burlington County Fire Marshal's Office. All units were clear from the scene at 6:26 pm.
