An accident involving several motor vehicles closed part of Route 130 North in Willingboro on May 9th. The 9:40 am chain-reaction accident involved three large trucks and two cars. The driver of one truck was removed by fire and EMS personnel and transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.

As a result of the accident, the oil pan on one of the trucks was damaged and spilled its entire contents onto the roadway. Firefighters controlled the flow of the spill and Burlington County Department of Health responded to coordinate the clean-up of the spill. A crew that specializes in cleaning the roadway of spilled oil was called to remove the spill.

All three lanes of Route 130 North were closed between Pennypacker Drive and Charleston Road for over an hour. Fire Police personnel were used to direct traffic around the incident until part of the highway could be reopened at 11 am.
