Willingboro Fire Department's B Platoon quickly extinguished a vehicle fire at the corner of Beverly-Rancocas Road and Marwood Turn. On the afternoon of April 18th the department was notified of a vehicle on fire at 1:22 pm. Engine 1613 arrived in four minutes and Captain Ramsey reported a vehicle on fire.

The crew of the engine used a 1 3/4" hoseline to quickly extinguish the fire. Firefighters also had to control gasoline that was running down the roadway toward a storm drain. They were able to keep most of the gasoline from the storm drain. The crew was able to control the fire in five minutes.

With the small amount of gasoline entering the storm drain, a representative from the Burlington County Health Department responded to determine if there was need for further actions. The car was heavily damaged in the engine and passenger compartments. Willingboro Police had the vehicle towed from the scene, and all units were available at 2:05 pm.
