Two people were taken to a local trauma center after a single vehicle accident on Route 130 Northbound near the Bridgeboro Bridge. Fire and EMS personnel from Willingboro, along with fire personnel from Delran, were dispatched to the accident at 6:09 pm on May 4th. Willingboro Police arrived on location and confirmed one person still trapped in the car with what appeared to be serious injuries, and the driver was already out of the vehicle. The car lost control and hit a street light before flipping several times.

Delran Chief 2300 arrived on scene and confirmed the police report. Willingboro Chief of Department Burnett arrived on scene and made an immediate size-up of the incident. Virtua Paramedic Unit 32 immediately called for an additional paramedic unit while enroute to the incident due to apparent serious injuries to the driver and passenger. Delran Engine 2312 arrived on scene shortly before Willingboro Rescue Engine 1613 and Rescue 1619.

As the crews from Willingboro's rescue units started to work on extricating the passenger from the vehicle. Chief Burnett set up a Command Post, and per the request of the paramedic unit, requested an aeromedical helicopter be dispatched to the incident. Virtua Paramedic Unit 32 and Willingboro EMS personnel gave care to the passenger as rescue crews used the Jaws of Life to remove the passenger from the vehicle. A second Willingboro EMS unit and Virtua Paramedic Unit 31 arrived on scene and provided care to the driver of the vehicle.

Rescue crews were able to free the passenger from the vehicle within six minutes of arriving on location. The Beverly Fire Department had set up a landing zone in a parking lot on the Southbound side of Route 130, just north of the accident scene. The passenger was placed into the helicopter and transported to a trauma center in Camden. The driver was taken in a Willingboro Ambulance, along with Virtua Medic 31, to a trauma center in Camden as well. Fire Police from Willingboro and Delran were on scene to assist the police with traffic control on the highway. All units were clear from the scene at 8:17 pm.
