Personnel from Willingboro's Fire and EMS Departments recently received awards from Willingboro VFW Post 4914. The awards are given annually by the VFW Post to honor personnel from the township's emergency services for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The 2015 awards ceremony was held on Saturday, May 9th at the VFW Post located on Creekview Road.

Earlier in the year, Chief of Department Burnett was contacted by the VFW for nominees for the awards. Chief Burnett asked all supervisors from both departments to submit recommendations for nominees. Once the chief received recommendations for the awards, the names of the following personnel were forwarded to the VFW Post:

Fire Department - Firefighters Reed Costello and Chris Carcasio

EMS Department - EMT's Jack Collins and Erik Anderson

The award ceremony was held in the presence of VFW officers and members, Chief of Department Burnett, the family members of the award recipients, and other invited guests. Congratulations to all of the award recipients for their hard work and dedication to their respective departments.
