On Wednesday, April 20 at 8:36 am Engine 1613 was dispatched to 3001 Route 130 South in Delran Township to the Hunters Glen Apartments as a RIC (Rapid Intervention Crew) for a reported apartment fire. A thermal column was visible from a few miles out. 1613 was the 1st engine on scene. Delran Chief 2300 changed 1613's assignment from RIC to fire attack. A 2.0” line was stretched with Firefighters Carcasio and Fresco, and Lt. Ferrell, initiating fire attack on the original apartment fire.

Delran Squirt 2324 established a connection to a nearby fire hydrant for a water supply. Their hose from the hydrant was attached to Engine 1613. Firefighter D. O’Donnell(1613’s operator) supplied water to Riverside Ladder 7015 and Delran Squirt 2324. One firefighter sustained a minor injury, and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
