Willingboro Firefighters Extinguish Fire At Burlington Township Apartment

On Wednesday, April 20, at 4:39 pm Engine 1612 was dispatched to Burlington Township on a mutual aid assignment to 1701 Salem Road to the Willow Point Apartments for a reported apartment fire. Burlington Township Captain 3020 was first on scene and found fire coming from the rear of the apartment. Willingboro Engine 1612 arrived and its stretched a 1.75” hand line, forced entry into the apartment, and was able to extinguish the fire in a timely manner. The kitchen fire was placed under control at 4:55 pm.

Burlington Township and Burlington City units assisted with overhaul. Willingboro Chief of Department Burnett and Deputy Chief Sitzenstock established a Command Post. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported. All Willingboro units were clear from the scene at 5:44 pm.
