Willingboro Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a vehicle fire on the afternoon of June 25th. While finishing up at the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Levitt Parkway, the department was dispatched for a vehicle fire on Sheffield Drive at 5:34 pm. Deputy Chief Clark was advised by the county's 911 Center that several people called reporting a vehicle on fire. Engine 1613 and Rescue 1619 had completed their assignments at the motor vehicle accident and responded to the vehicle fire.

Deputy Chief Clark arrived in four minutes and found a pick-up truck with fire from the engine area. Engine 1613 and Rescue 1619 arrived moments later and started to extinguish the fire. Firefighter Barger used a 1 3/4" hoseline to extinguish the fire. Firefighter D. O'Donnell and Lieutenant Fresco used hand tools to help gain access to the engine and passenger areas of the vehicle.

The Deputy Chief was able to place the fire under control in four minutes. The vehicle sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene. All units were clear at 6:21 pm.
