Firefighters from Willingboro and several surrounding departments were able to quickly extinguish a house fire in Twin Hills on the evening of October 10th. At 6:49 pm the county's 911 Center received a call for a house on fire at 16 Tweedstone Lane. Engine 1613 arrived on location in 9 minutes and found smoke and fire coming from the rear of the home. Captain Brian Gardner assigned Lieutenant Ferrell from Ladder 1615 as the command officer, and entered the home with the crew.

Firefighter Carcasio pulled a 2" hoseline from 1613 and entered the home along with Firefighter LeHuquet. Lieutenant Ferrell requested "All Companies In Service" since all of the responding crews were utilized to extinguish the fire. 1613's crew found fire in the rear of the home, and quickly extinguished the fire. Mount Laurel Ladder 3615 arrived and assisted with removing heat and smoke from the home. Westampton Engine 2723 arrived and assisted with a search of the home, and that no fire had extended into other areas of the home.

Lieutenant Ferrell was able to place the fire under control at 7:07 pm. Chief of Department Burnett arrived on scene and assisted with logistical needs. He made sure the Red Cross, utility companies, and the fire marshals office were responding to the incident. There were no injuries, and the Red Cross did assist the family with temporary housing and other needs. The fire was investigated by the Burlington County Fire Marshals Office. All units were clear from the scene at 9:20 pm.
