Firefighters Speak To Local Church Group
By Firefighter Mark Robertson Sr.
January 15, 2020
Firefighters from the department's Community Relations and Fire Prevention Division were asked by the Parkway Baptist Church to visit the congregation to discuss fire and home safety topics. Firefighters Centrone and Priest visited the church on the morning of January 11th. The firefighters spoke to a group of 12 church members about several important fire and safety items for home and the church.
Firefighters Centrone and Priest discussed home fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, an evacuation plan for the church in the event of an emergency, and the automatic external defibrillator (AED). The presentation was well received and appreciated by the group. The department would like to thank the Parkway Baptist Church for the invitation to speak about fire and home safety tips.
To have members of the Fire and EMS department speak at your group gathering about fire and home safety topics, you can call the Community Relations and Fire Prevention Division at 609-877-2200 ext. 1205
