Personnel from the township's Police and Fire & EMS Departments held two distribution sessions as part of the Willingboro Emergency Services Coat Drive. The sessions were held on February 26th and 29th at the Kennedy Center. Community Relations Coordinators Firefighter Mike Centrone and Patrol Officer Sally Landrum were met with residents waiting outside the door to go thru the coats.

Community Relations Coordinators Landrum and Centrone came up with the idea in a meeting in January will full support from Public Safety Director Loman and Chief of Department Burnett. Due to the generosity of township employees, residents, and a huge donation from Al-Nasr mosque of Willingboro, they were able to collect over 300 coats

The departments would like to thank everyone for their donations and help to make the event possible this year. The first annual Emergency Services Coat Drive was a huge success. We are proud to have helped people who needed coats, and hope to do even better next year. The collection goal for 2020 is over 500 coats.

We still have a small amount of coats remaining from this event. There will be another distribution session in conjunction with an upcoming food drive in Willingboro. Stay tuned to the department's Facebook page for further information.
