November 9th to 15th is national Traffic Incident Response Awareness week. Willingboro Fire and Ems would like to raise awareness to the hundreds of Emergency Responders that are injured or even killed while responding to incidents. Both Pennsylvania and New Jersey have passed Move over Laws, which require motorists to move over and change lanes to provide a safe distance for law enforcement officers or other responders on roadsides. Other responders include towing, transportation agencies, and Road Services personal. The majority of drivers do not know to move over and slow down when they see responders working on our roadways.
