Willingboro Firefighters were called, along with several other departments, to assist at a multi-alarm house fire in Beverly City on November 1st. Engine 1613 was called on the initial dispatch at 12:02 pm. Beverly Fire Department Chief 1200 arrived on scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home. The chief also advised the responding units that the home, which is owned by a retired police officer, contained a large amount of ammunition.

Upon arrival on scene Engine 1613's crew was sent into the home to check the second and attic for possible trapped occupants and hidden fire. Captain Ramsey directed the crew of Lieutenant Friddell and Firefighters E. O'Donnell, Bowe, and Anderson. The crew found heavy heat and zero visibility on the second floor while performing their tasks. They also found pockets of hidden fire in the walls and ceilings of the home.

After completing the search of the second floor and finding hidden fire, the crew exited the home to replace their empty breathing cylinders with full ones. The crew then proceeded back to the second floor, and the attic area to continue extinguishing fire. While working on the upper floors of the home, the crew also found that fire had burned several holes in the floor. Once the crew completed a second round of work in the home they were sent to a rehabilitation area, and then released from the scene. The crew was back in Willingboro at 2 pm.
