Willingboro FIRE & EMS responds to numerous calls for during Tropical Storm Isaias

On August 4th 2020 Tropical Storm Isaias made it's way into Willingboro Township and proceeded to lay down a path of destruction throughout the town. The FIRE and EMS crews were staffed and ready to respond to all calls in Willingboro Township. With two ambulances in service, EMS responded to 15 medical emergencies. The Fire Department responded over 45, utilizing 4 apparatus and 17 firefighters and support staff. The incidents varied from downed trees, arcing wires, transformer fires, roads being blocked from tree limbs, along with damaged homes and vehicles from the storm. The damage from the storm left many residents without power. PSE&G and their sub contractors have a strong presence in town and are working hard to restore power. Currently PSE&G has an ice and water station set up at the Kennedy Center to help the residents affected by the storm. This Ice and Water Station will be operational again on August 6, 2020 from 12:00 - 5:00pm for township residents to get supplies.
