August 25, 2023
On the evening of August 22, 2023, the department, in conjunction with Willingboro Township, held its first Touch A Truck Event at the parking lot of the Kennedy Center. This event allowed kids of all ages to touch and sit in a variety of vehicles that they would normally not be able to see up close. The vehicles included SUVs from law enforcement, emergency medical services, fire apparatus, tow trucks, a sewer vacuum truck, a front end loader, and a police SWAT vehicle. Approximately 150 residents, visitors, and township officials attended the event. We would like to thank the following companies and organizations for attending our event:
Willingboro Police Department and K-9 Association Willingboro Volunteer Emergency Squad Willingboro Public Works Burlington County Sheriff's Department Virtua Hospital Paramedics Flynn’s Towing Kona Ice
The department would also like to thank the Willingboro Recreation and Parks Department for the use of the parking lot at the Kennedy Center.
