Willingboro Fire and EMS was dispatched to Thornhill Lane for a reported house on fire. Initial reports from Central Communications advised they were receiving multiple calls for a house on fire. Engine 1613 arrived on scene and reported a two-story dwelling with heavy smoke showing. Captain Fresco took command of the incident, as Lieutenant O'Donnell along with firefighters Centrone and Nardi entered the home with an 1.75" hose line. The crew encountered fire in the garage that was extending into the second floor. Westampton Engine 2723 secured a hydrant and was ordered to take an additional 1.75" hose line to the second floor. Mount Laurel Ladder 3615 arrived and assisted the crews along with ensuring all fire was extinguished.
Chief Burnett arrived on scene and took command of the incident. The fire was placed under control at 9am. Other mutual aid departments from Burlington Township Fire, Cinnaminson Fire, Moorestown Fire, Riverside Fire, and Delran Fire were on scene to assist with the remaining firefighting operations. The Burlington County Fire Marshal's Office was on scene along with the State of New Jersey Fire Marshal's Office.
