On the evening of June 26, 2024, the Burlington County Fire Chief's Association held their annual Awards Ceremony honoring departments throughout Burlington County. Lt. Erin O'Donnell, FF Chris Clark (not present), FF Mike Centrone, and FF Mike Nardi were presented a Unit Citation for a rescue that occurred on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Crystal Lake, Willingboro, NJ. Engine 1613 was dispatched to the lake for a reported victim in the water. Upon arrival, the crew deployed Marine 16 Unit in minutes and rescued the victim who was clinging onto their canoe in the water. The victim was brought to the shoreline and turned over to EMS personnel for further evaluation. The crew then went back into the water to recover the victim's personal belongings. The quick action of these members resulted in a positive outcome. Congratulations to these firefighters for a job well done!
