On December 22nd members of the department, as well as members from six surrounding fire departments, paid tribute to recently fallen brother firefighter Michael Johnson of the Beverly Fire Company. The event was organized by the Hunter’s Hero’s Foundation, a charitable foundation named for the late Lt. Chris Hunter of the Cinnaminson Fire Department. Hunter’s Hero’s purchased Christmas gifts for Mike’s wife and young daughter. The gifts were delivered to their home by Santa and about 40 firefighters on fifteen engines and ladder trucks. It was an honor for the members of the Willingboro Fire Department to be asked to be a part of this great tribute. Mike was a great friend to all of us and he is dearly missed.
